New 2023 Mazda CX-7 Exterior, Interior, and Specs

2023 Mazda CX-7: What We Know So Far

2023 Mazda CX-7 – Mazda CX-7 has been discontinued since 2012. Even so, this car is still widely sold in the market for buying and selling used cars. The Mazda CX-7 is built pretty well by Mazda, with a choice of a 2.5-litre engine for gasoline and a 2.2-litre engine for diesel.

Although it hasn’t been produced for quite a while, will Mazda think twice about building a new version of the CX-7? We hope that there will be a re-production under the name 2023 Mazda CX-7. What would it be like if this car was re-manufactured by Mazda? Let’s speculate.

2023 Mazda CX-7 Redesign

What’s New 2023 Mazda CX-7?

The CX-7 is classified as an old car with outdated features. Therefore, it seems adjustments with today’s technology should be made. The first is the interior and exterior design that must be changed to be more modern. Engine selection must also be considered. Diesel is an old story, and now we should consider hybrid engines more. However, the same engine as used by the CX-5 can also be an option.

The diverse selection of cars that are characteristic of Mazda. 6 trim levels models seem too much. For this reason, numbers 4-5 can be an option for many trim levels.

The signature will remain the best and also the most expensive variant of trim levels. And Sport should be the cheapest. Such is our expectation if Mazda makes the 2023 Mazda CX-7.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The engine is the main factor that must be improved. Car engines in 2012 and before sound old-fashioned. For this reason, the choice of a high-performance engine must be considered. The SKYACTIV®-G 2.5 Dynamic Pressure Turbo DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder with VVT engine used in the signature CX-5 model can be the right choice.

We expect a car that doesn’t use gasoline only. Therefore, our hope in the 2023 Mazda CX-7 is a hybrid variant if it’s made. But 2023 was the year that is more sophisticated than it’s now, maybe when the CX-7 will be remade into an electric car.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

This car can accommodate up to 5 passengers. This is ideal for a mid-size car. In addition, cars like this usually also have a reasonably large cargo capacity. The CX-7 is also the same. 29.9 cubic feet is the cargo size for this car. With this size, you can carry a lot of things when travelling long distances.

Specifications and Features

The safety features of this car are also considered quite ancient. Therefore, there needs to be a significant update in this regard. The use of more sophisticated security technology should do. Mazda cars today are already using advanced safety features. So, if the 2023 CX-7 is made, then it’s going to use it.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Because the production was stopped before Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were created, then this car doesn’t have direct integration on both. However, you can still install it with additional tools.

In addition, the features and connectivity of this car are also lacking. This is extensive homework for Mazda if it wants to build this car again. What’s more, 2012 and earlier didn’t have as advanced technology as today. With the rapid development of technology, the 2012 Mazda CX-7 will indeed look ancient. For this reason, Mazda must make this car look sophisticated and luxurious.

2023 Mazda CX-7 Price

Currently, used CX-7s are priced around $7,000 – 13,000. It’s very cheap for an old car. However, if the 2023 Mazda CX-7 is to be built, we think the $22,000 – $35,000 price range is worth it. So, let’s hope this car will be there again, with many enhancements.
